BEVERAGE: Strawberry Slushy

Ingredients

Ingredients:
1 ½ cups strawberries, hulled
1 T sugar
¼ cup sparkling wine, such as a Prosecco
1 pint lemon sorbet, slightly softened

Instructions

Blend strawberries and sugar in a blender until smooth. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve. Discard solids. Next, using an electric mixer, beat wine, ½ of the sorbet, and 1/3 cup of the berry puree until smooth. Add remaining sorbet and berry puree, beat until soft. Spoon into chilled glasses and serve.
